Setting up your own Router/Modem

On this page you’ll find which settings you will need to configure if you want to use a router you already own. You should only use this page if we don’t have a guide for your particular router, and you feel comfortable configuring your router.

If you would like to buy a router that has already been set up by Onto IT, please Contact Us.

  1. You will first need to open your router’s login page. This information can be found on the sticker on the back or bottom of your router. It is normally either 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1 or 10.0.0.1, depending on the router make and model.
  2. Next, login to the router using the default username and password (if it hasn’t been changed in the past). This is normally found on the same sticker as in step 1.
  3. Depending on your connection type, use the information below to set up your router. If you have trouble setting your router, it might be helpful searching google for “[your router model] set up guide.
